Which devices and software does Gallery support?
Gallery is a free app for Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 26.1 or later.
Why does a photo open in 2D?
Spatial scene preparation supports eligible photos. Some images cannot be prepared because of their size, shape, or image data. Those photos remain available in 2D.
Does Gallery save a converted photo?
No. Spatial scenes are prepared on your device for viewing and kept in memory. Gallery does not save a permanent converted copy to Photos.
Does Recycle Bin delete my media?
No. Recycle Bin is an ordinary Photos album. Items remain in your Photos library until you choose permanent deletion from inside the bin. Apple Photos asks you to confirm deletion.
Where do my photos and settings go?
Gallery processes your media on your device and does not send it to the developer. If an original is in iCloud Photos, Apple Photos may download it when Gallery requests it. App preferences stay on your device.
