Photos and videos
Simple Vision Gallery uses Apple PhotoKit to show and organize the photos, videos, and albums you allow it to access. Read and write access lets the app browse your albums, create destination albums, rename albums, and move selected items between albums. You can review or change Photos access in visionOS Settings.
When you open media, Gallery processes it on your device. Eligible ordinary photos can open as generated spatial scenes. Existing spatial photos can be shown in stereo. Some photos cannot be prepared as spatial scenes because of their size, shape, or image data; they remain available in 2D. Scenes are prepared for viewing and are kept in memory. Gallery does not save permanent converted copies to Photos.
Videos play in the viewer and can be set to loop. The Recycle Bin is an ordinary Photos album. Moving an item to it does not delete that item from your library. Permanent deletion is available only from the bin, after your confirmation. Apple Photos may keep deleted items in Recently Deleted. If iCloud Photos is enabled, library changes may sync through Apple’s service.
iCloud Photos
PhotoKit can request an original stored in iCloud Photos when you open it. Apple Photos may download that original to your device. Apple handles Photos and iCloud data under your Apple account settings and Apple’s terms.
Information and sharing
Gallery does not send your photos, videos, or app preferences to Gershom Agim. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated network service.
Gallery stores preferences on your device, such as album order, visibility, media filters, thumbnail size, spatial lookahead, and video looping. These preferences are not sent to the developer.
If you email support, Gershom receives the information you include in your message and uses it to respond. Do not include private photos or other sensitive information unless it is needed to explain your request.
Your choices
- You can change or revoke Photos access in visionOS Settings.
- You can turn off video looping and adjust spatial lookahead in Gallery settings.
- Removing the app removes its app-local preferences. It does not undo changes already made to your Photos library.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change if Gallery’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is published.
